I had a nasty bit of food poisoning the last few days.
It was severe enough that I called my brother-in-law, who's a physician, to get a little advice. He's a sympathetic ear and certainly it's more pleasant to get a spot of advice from him than an internet page. The recommended course is something I'd forgotten: Gatorade and the BRAT diet--Bananas, Rice, Apples, and Toast.
For a change, I'm actually following the right course. That means I drank a huge amount of Gatorade for the first time in a very long time. I'd forgotten that I don't like the taste much! Still, it's easy to drink, but cyclists have an odd belief that Gatorade's beneficial electrolytes are better absorbed by your body when the beverage is diluted (making it far less palatable). I'm skeptical of that, since why would Gatorade know of such a flaw and not balance their formula accordingly?

I confess, this video is too funny not to post.
Stoned is funnier when it's a little kid. Stoned adults sound pretty much like this, they're just less charming.
