Last night, A was admitted to the hospital after nearly dying. I was trying to coordinate assistance for her from 700 miles away as she stubbornly resisted help. I don't recall ever being so afraid for another person's life, while also trying to manage getting help to watch her kids and get transport to the hospital from a nasty cab-driver while A wouldn't call an ambulance. As the sun rose, I had precious little sleep and nothing but worries.
